A Day @ GOON

Yet another successful lurk of the north east was completed this weekend. Top-Bottom Park @ Mt Snow, nearly smashing mad dear on the way to Sunapee, topped with 3 days @ Loon. I didn't shoot as much as I'd like to have but was funfunfun. Met up with some good ol' time winter buddies who gave me the ability to couch surf and thrash. We (Shannis and I) shot this on Tuesday after a fresh coat of white, empty mountain, and endless fresh tracks.

It took me the snow to melt and then to start falling again to get this thing online.

Scammed

The past few months have been a bit of termoil for me. If you know me at all you will know that my camera is like a fifth or six limb depending on your state of mind. After two months of my camera being in 'repair' I find out today that I've been scammed out of my 4 warranty. This is after battling over the phone through three different companies and many a sleepless
Night. Lesson learned: Do Not by any products from CCI Camera City. (www.ccicameracity.com). Which doesn't even exsist anymore!! Filthy scum bags!! So now I have a $400 bill that I can't pay because my warranty is fake. These shwill drinking rat scum based out of Brooklyn will not here the last of me and I will attempt to take them down with everything I have!!! Research the companies you buy products from before doiing so!! There is a good chance you might get fucked, great society we live in today eh?

So you voted?

Some of you feel that 'HOPE' will prevail with our new president? Well I did my civic duty too! You feel like you changed the world? Far from it, after watching all of the debates and trying not to puke from the garbage these two presidential 'candidates' dished out. I came to the conclusion that they are both fabrications of our government to keep it just the way it is, and has been ever since government was instated. You probably think I'm just another pissed off anti-government kid. Maybe I am, but I was searching for another perspective on this issue of corrupt government, and I might have found it. I'm not saying I agree on all of these issues, but it is different perspective from that the news, and government itself has been stuffing down our throats for so long.

Repair Tech is the Devil

Unreliable, Unsafe, Simply the WORST

I sent my camera to repair tech the first week of September and was
guaranteed a 10 day turn around. After 3 weeks I hadn't heard from
them, and after 3 emails and 2 phone calls they said it was sent to
the factory for further repair. I was disappointed the company
couldn't contact me that it was sent to the factory. NOW after the
repair, its been sitting in the warehouse for weeks while they
'approve' my 4 year warranty (spent $400 on). After contacting the
AGAIN through email about my status, they reply (four days later) that
they need a copy of my original invoice and warranty card. Shouldn't
they have asked this weeks earlier, even though i provided that
information when i shipped it out? And on top of that, the 4 day late
replied email was the day prior to their 2 day vacation. I have a big
film gig next week and can't do it unless my camera is back from its 2
MONTH 'vacation'. I am disgusted with my experience with this company,
so my advice: Go someplace more reliable if you want your camera
repaired in a timely manner and be treated as a human being. Probably
some of the worst human beings i've worked with.

FYS Bada Bing! Wit’ A Pipe! Music Video

I was lucky enough to work as a gaffer for one day of shooting for the music video. It was good experience working with a production crew out of LA, and also working with some of my good friends too. I was pleased on how the final product came out, and seems to be getting some good response from the public. FYS is doing good things, and are getting bigger and bigger every time I hear from them.

The little info I could actually find was that the work was by Lisa Fiore, who creates political poster art. The billboard space was donated to her for one year by a friend. Its could to here people stirring up controversy, or just speaking a little truth once and a while.

Some Secrets Are Best Kept Secrets

Mostly everyone who lives in the woods such as myself, grows up fishing. The old classic worm and bobber technique was priceless for the little guy sun fish. But as I grow older the only thing entertaining with sun fish is hitting them back into the water with tennis rackets. Its called Racket Fishing, inventor Adam Riggsby to give credit. My 5 year old imagination has evolved to that of a 12 yr old, and that means I crave more of a challenge.
But getting to the point, I don't like people when fishing, I like catching big fish most of the time I go out. And to achieve these two basic principles one must find their own secret spot, one where no one knows the location. And to keep it this way you must never give up the location, but brag quite often to claim that you have the 'best' fishing spot ever. I myself have found that little slice of heaven on earth. This video shows what the spot is capable of in 2 hrs time, Casson and myself show what fishing really is. Now that's a claimer statement.

Long Awaited Update....

Ok so its been quite sometime since I've done anything with this, and rather continue with the tour video postings. I'm claiming this stack of internet space as my own.

I collected some of the craziest footage ever on this trip and instead of putting up more posts, the plan is to construct a bigger documentary style film. I believe?
Cutting to the chase, I hope to become responsible and consistently put interesting things up here that I feel are important to me and society in general.

In other news, I've motivated myself to edit some skate footage together for yet another RK teaser. But the video is in the works for real.
HD is the new tom, so fuck Youtube. I've found an online HD player Vimeo. Its quite rad.

Hometown Bro-down / Ship Out

Hometown Bro-down

Hometown shows are priceless so wasn’t this one. The bus seemed to be the central hang location, or more like a full-blown party. One instance I saw kids in the middle of the street throwing bottles down a pipe only to make and echoed crash as store owners looked in aww. Cheap brews and the Bruins winning a playoff game, kept us in good spirits. Some retarded fights broke out, we won’t get into that or the after party.

Ship Up to Ship Out
Tuesday morning was spent battening down the hatches and getting our shit settled into Sacred Blue, our home for the next month. A smooth and successful 5 hour drive landed us on the shores of Jersey. Upon exploring the boardwalk and enjoying the scenic waves we had the pleasure of meeting Tyrone. Tyrone was a crazed homeless man who claimed to have both types of sex organs and who also had an insatiable need to polish things. But what else could you expect on the shores of this great American state?
The show was sick, it was in a bowling alley. We also got free chips that magically turned into drinks when redeeming them at the bar. We had a sufficient amount, keeping us occupied throughout the night, not to mention complimentary bowling.
The next day I awoke in some god-awful truck stop, our previous night’s mission was to get out of the great state of Jersey and escape its decrepit smell. But it became a reality that we were still here, while taking a piss in some greenish goop of a puddle a huge fucking bus with a shit ton of people came rolling through. We then got in the bus an headed for Richmond Virginia for our day off due to a canceled show.

oh and here's some quick vid grabs of what we've been currently getting weird with. With so many daily adventures, it is nearly impossible to snaggle-hag some time to edit.

First of Days

The First of Days
The first days of tour were on the unordinary or even weird side. I woke up the time I was scheduled to meet up with Smartbomb in their compound located in the depths of the boonies somewhere westward in the outskirts of Worcester. Dazed from events from the night prior, I booted back to my house to gather the items I carelessly packed.
We planned to meet at Guitar Center in Millbury Ma. Driving faster than Flash himself I met up on time, meted and greeted and planned to leave. But a speed bump prevented us from leaving the parking lot let alone show in Haverhill. We didn’t know we’d be spending the next 7 hours in this very spot. The bus was broke down, this fine triton V10 bus known as Sacred Blue wouldn’t even turn over.
All of us being ‘novice’ mechanics, to put it lightly, analyzed the problem and came to the conclusion that is was the starter. Perkins, while getting down and dirty underneath the bus somehow managed to get a chunk of rust stuck in his eye. With the help of Widing’s surgical skills, he extracted the huge chunk of decaying steal with finesse and the help of a condom wrapper. It seemed that our steak of unfortunate events would never end.
Not knowing how to fix this problem we gave Perkins’s pops Darrell, a jingle. The next few hours were skating, Frisbees, burritos, and anything else to keep us occupied. After we spent $250 in parts and installed them with the help of Darrell, we went to try to start it for the 167th time. One little trick to starting a vehicle: YOU NEED TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK IN ORDER FOR IT TO START. We fucked up and had a good time doing it. We ended up making it to the Haverhill show.
The venue was Welfare records, located on the banks of the Merrimack river. A scenario similar to where mobs dump bodies after a ‘hit’. We met up with our fellow tour partners Hit the Switch for the first time. They are a bunch of rad guys fro So Cal, and we are all amped to be touring together. The two bands are definetly a killer combo, be sure to check them out.
